The "Bushido" collection marks a pivotal evolution in my artistic journey, reflecting a deepened focus on technical execution and disciplined creativity. This series introduces the "Bushi" character, a personal interpretation of the samurai, embodying the elegance and precision for which samurai are renowned.
Inspired by the samurai's code of honor, or "Bushido," I embed my own guiding principles within these three distinct works:
1. Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performances
2. Self-Preservation Is The First Law Of Nature
3. Grind Observance Disciple
Each piece captures the same combat stance from different angles, executed in three unique artistic styles I've mastered over more than a decade of painting.
The color palette features my signature blend of Turquoise (symbolizing fluidity and seamlessness), Red (representing passion and power), and Purple (denoting royalty and balance). These colors are applied in varying gloss, matte, metallic, and color-shift finishes to create depth and dimension.
Stripes, tactically placed throughout the compositions, enhance the sense of movement and direction, offering a subtle three-dimensional effect even as the subject remains still. The collection's title, "Shogun," acknowledges the influence of a higher power in guiding my creative dominion, much like the historic leaders who commanded respect and authority.
This series is not just a reflection of my growth as an artist but also a testament to the disciplined approach and thoughtful craftsmanship that define my work.
